Points / Credits Policy

3.1 Overview

InfrPool operates on a prepaid credit system. Credits are the internal currency used to pay for AI inference services on the Platform. All monetary values are denominated in micro-USD (1 USD = 1,000,000 micro-USD).

Credits are not legal tender, are not redeemable for cash (except through the Supplier payout process), and have no value outside the InfrPool platform.

3.2 Acquiring Credits (Consumer)

Consumer credits may be acquired through the following methods:

  • Wallet top-up: Purchase credits via Stripe Checkout. Minimum charge: $5.00 USD. Stripe transaction fees (2.9% + $0.30) are borne by the Consumer.
  • Auto-charge: Automatic top-up when balance falls below a configured threshold. Preset amounts: $10, $20, $50, $100 USD.
  • Signup bonus: A one-time $1.50 USD credit upon account activation.

Consumer credits are granted immediately upon successful Stripe Checkout session completion (i.e., at the time of purchase).

3.3 Earning Credits (Supplier)

Suppliers earn credits by fulfilling inference requests from Consumers. Earnings are calculated per-request as: base_price x (1 - supplier_fee_rate), rounded down (floor) to the nearest micro-USD.

Supplier earnings are credited to the Supplier's wallet in real time upon successful completion of each inference request.

Supplier credits can be withdrawn via the Tremendous payout system (minimum $10.00 USD, $0.50 processing fee per payout, 7-day account age requirement). The minimum was raised from $1.00 in SPEC v1.9 (2026-04) so the fixed Tremendous fee represents a smaller share of each payout.

3.4 Credit Expiry

All credits (whether purchased or earned) expire one (1) year after the date of last activityon your account. "Activity" is defined as any of the following:

  • Wallet charge (top-up)
  • Inference usage (API call)
  • Payout (withdrawal)

Expiry process:

  • A notification email is sent 30 days before credits are scheduled to expire.
  • Upon expiry, the wallet balance is reset to zero and a wallet event of type "expired" is recorded.
  • Expired credits are non-refundable and cannot be reinstated.
  • The expiry check runs as a daily batch process.

3.5 Non-Transferability

Credits cannot be transferred between accounts. Each account's wallet balance is independent. There is no mechanism for gifting, trading, or transferring credits to another user.

3.6 Credit Forfeiture

Credits may be forfeited in the following circumstances:

  • Account termination: Upon termination, remaining credits are forfeited (refund attempted for consumer balances exceeding $1.00; final payout attempted for supplier earnings of $10.00 or more; supplier earnings below $10.00 and consumer balances below $1.00 are forfeited).
  • Fraud or prohibited conduct: Confirmed fraud results in forfeiture of entire wallet balance.
  • Credit expiry: Credits that expire due to inactivity are forfeited.
  • Inactivity fee: $1.00 per month deducted from accounts inactive for 6 or more consecutive months with a positive balance.

3.7 Refunds

Refund eligibility and processing is governed by the Refund/Cancellation/Suspension Policy. In general, unused credits purchased within the last 14 days may be eligible for a refund, subject to conditions described in that policy.
